Visit the Museum:
A tour aboard Battleship IOWA Museum Los Angeles is an adventure aboard a city at sea. Whether you are new to Naval ships or an aficionado, you can pick and choose the right tours for you. As the most accessible Battleship museum, we have numerous areas open including main deck, The Roosevelt Cabin, Lost at Sea, and our 2nd/3rd deck museum and retail spaces for those requiring chair lift accommodation. Get ready for a memorable experience aboard the West Coast’s Battleship.
The Battleship IOWA is located on the LA Waterfront with a backdrop of the Nation’s busiest port complex, the Port of Los Angeles. There is no better place in the Western Hemisphere to see active cargo ship traffic and cargo movement, while enjoying a memorable experience.
Visiting the USS Iowa Battleship Museum at the Los Angeles Waterfront is a unique and award-winning interactive experience for individuals, families, groups and as an experiential tool for educators.
Children and adults alike can follow our clever mascot dog named Victory on a popular scavenger hunt. Known as the Battleship of Presidents, USS Iowa is located at the former home to the US Navy Pacific fleet and an area rich in maritime history.
USS Iowa opens daily at 10:00 a.m. (Closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas).
The last ticket sold at 4:00 p.m.
Ship tours end at 4:00 p.m.
The ship closes at 5:00.
Kids and children of all ages are encouraged to join our beloved, canine “Victory” (USS Iowa’s official mascot) on a scavenger hunt while exploring the ship.
Our younger (and not so young) guests experience the “jungle gym” at sea where we encourage a touching, feeling, and playing experience! All hands on deck!
