STEM Adventure Camp Week 3
June 28 @ 9:00 am - July 2 @ 12:00 pm
The popular in-person, STEM summer camp adventure for students in first through eighth grades is happening at the Battleship IOWA Museum this summer. History and science will join together to introduce students to valuable scientific and engineering concepts as they were applied in the design and operation of the historic battleship, which earned the nicknames “The Big Stick” and the Battleship of Presidents during her years in service.
Each week-long session is tailored to specific grade levels, ensuring the activities are engaging and lessons are academically relevant to each participant. All activities comply with current health department guidelines for COVID-19 and include in-depth tours of various ship compartments, discussions with crew members who are continuously working to restore the ship, and a variety of exciting and engaging STEM activities.
Each participant will receive individual activity materials, a camp t-shirt, and a daily snack.
Each week-long camp session will be held Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. All campers will receive individual activity supplies, a daily snack, and a camp t-shirt. Cost $110 per week.
